BID Group Ltd is an established, Bolton based, industrial door company. With sites in the Midlands and Scotland and over 50 teams of engineers, we install, service, repair and maintain all types of industrial doors, dock levellers, high speed doors, automatic doors, gates, barriers and turnstiles.
Due to expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a Systems Developer to work from our office in Westhoughton, Bolton.
Reporting to our Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation, integration, training, support and development of current and future in-house/outsourced software systems (visual basic and SQL server) and supporting business systems.
The role will involve management (capturing, assessing and justifying) of stakeholder wants and needs; evaluating and selecting software packages; process and data integration (in-house and off-the shelf software); mobile staff and multi-site application deployment and management.
To be considered for this role you should have working experience of:
- C# or VB.Net
- SQL Server
- Stored Procedures
- MS Office
- Developing business critical application
And ideally knowledge of:
- Mobile technology
- Website application development
- Financial and management accounts, credit control, parts management, stock control, sales order processing (quoted jobs, service and inspection jobs, time and material jobs), purchase order processing, job costing, manufacturing and customer relationship management.
